1. Did you get a chance to + R: 혹시 ~ 할 시간/기회 있었어?

- Did you read my e-mail? 너 내 이메일 읽었어?

 => Did you get a chance to read my e-mail? 혹시 내 이메일 읽어볼 시간 있었어?

- Did you get a chance to look over the material? 혹시 그 자료 훑어볼 시간 있었어?

- Did you call her? 그녀에게 전화 했어?

 => Did you get a chance to call her? 혹시 그녀에게 전화할 시간 있었어?

- Did you get a chance to look at the material last night? 혹시 어젯밤에 그 자료 봐볼 시간 있었어?

- Sorry to interrupt. 방해해서 미안

  Did you get a chance to sign those papers? 혹시 그 서류/계약서 싸인할 시간 있었어?

2. If you don't mind me/my asking ~: 이런 질문 드려도 될지 모르겠지만~

  If you don't mind my asking ~ (격식)

  If you don't mind me asking ~ (캐쥬얼)

- If you don't mind me asking, why did you and your wife split up?

 이런질문 드려도 될지 모르겠지만, 왜 아내분과 헤어지셨나요?

- What does he do, if you don't mind my asking? 

 이런걸 여쭤봐도 될지 모르겠지만, 그분은 무슨일을 하시나요?

3. With all you respect ~: 외람된 말씀이지만, 죄송하지만(상대가 듣고 싶어하지 않을 말을 하기 전)

   With all due respect     주로 상사/고객과 의견이 다를 때나 잘못을 지적할때

- You're wrong 너 틀렸어

 => I think you're wrong. 제 생각엔 당신이 틀린 것 같아요.

 =>> With all due respect, I think you're wrong

- you're in my seat

 => I think you're in my seat

- I don't know, sir. With all due respect, this doesn't feel right. 

  외람된 말씀이지만, 이건 아닌 것 같아요.

- With all due respect, this is crazy. 죄송하지만, 이건 미쳤어요/ 말도 안돼요.

4. If possible: 가능하다면

- Can I get a quiet room, if possible? 가능하면 조용한 방으로 얻을 수 있을까요?

- Tea herbal if possible, please. 가능하다면 허브차로 부탁드려요.

- I hope you will attend, if possible. 가능하면 오실 수 있으면 좋겠어요.

5. I was wondering if ~: ~해도 괜찮은지 궁금해요.

 I wonder if < I am wondering if < I was wondering if

(현재의 일을 묻는 것이지만, 조심스럽게 상대의 의견과 선택에 정중함을 나타내는 과거 진행형이 가장 자주 쓰임)

- I was wondering if I could ask you a quick question. 간단한 질문하나 드려도 괜찮은지 궁금했어요

                                                                       단순 can I ask 보다 훨씬 더 정중함

- I was wondering if you were available this evening.  오늘 저녁에 시간이 괜찮은지 궁금했어요.

                                                                       단순 are you available 보다 훨씬 더 정중함

- I was wondering if I could ask you a few questions. 질문 몇개만 드려도 괜찮은지 궁금했어요.

- I was wondering if you could help me with a little problem. 

  문제 하나 좀 해결하는 걸 도와줄 수 있는지 궁금했어

6. Let me + R(캐쥬얼) < Allow me to + R < Please allow me to (격식)

-             Let me introduce myself

           Allow me to introduce myself
